MKE and H2i develop 120 new affordable apartments in Munich

As one of the leading developers in affordable housing construction, MKE Munich Investment, together with H2i Asset Management and the pension assets of a DAX company, is developing around 120 price-controlled rental apartments and retail space on the first floor on the site of the former Bavarian barracks - a total of over 10,000 sqm gross floor area. Completion is planned for the end of 2028.

The project is part of the City of Munich's conceptual rental housing program and aims to create apartments for professional groups that are indispensable for a functioning urban society, such as care workers, educators, police officers and train conductors.

Neufreimann is one of the largest urban development projects in Germany: 5,500 apartments for up to 15,000 people will be built on around 60 hectares in the coming years, complemented by daycare centers, schools, social facilities and good public transport connections.
